Beckett Associates Mystery Case Break

I found another one of these mystery cases produced by Beckett Associates the other day; same deal as before, the case promises to included $50 in catalog value - with a chance to find over $100 catalog value in every 10th pack.

Inside the plain white envelope held the 2001-02 Pacific Vanguard Prime Prospects insert set; which I'm pretty sure meets the guaranteed case value criteria.

There's a decent selection of rookies who went on to become superstars within this set of 20 cards; and a few players who I never heard of before until this case break.

Marian Gaborik #9 - Current face of the franchise for the New York Rangers, hopefully Gaborik can avoid injury and regain his scoring touch this season.

Rick Dipietro #11 - Former 1st overall selection from the 2000 Draft; DiPietro recently took a hard shot to his mask from Brian Rolston which gave him a concussion and putting him on the sidelines.

Martin Havlat #13 - Another 50 point per season producer, Havlat has been shifted around since the ye ole days when this card photo was taken a few times; going from Ottawa, Chicago, Minnesota and now with the San Jose Sharks.

Henrik Sedin #20 - The Sedin twins are also featured in this prospect insert set.  They both went on to become impact players in the league as we all know.

Daniel Sedin #19

Dany Heatley #1 - Heatley broke the 50-goal mark in his first two seasons in the league, his stats have gone downhill since then, almost literally.  Hopefully he can put together a season similar to his breakout rookie season this year.

Pavel Datsyuk #5 - Datsyuk has gone on to become one of the best players in the league, a defensive forward who can dangle.

Ilya Kovalchuk #2 - Another former 1st overall Draft choice, Kovalchuk has reach the 50 goal plateau twice so far in his career - as his stats remain consistant.

Mike Comrie #6 - Currently a free agent but on the bright side married to Hilary Duff.

Vaclav Nedorost #3 - Here is where the names become recognizable and blurry.

Rostislav Klesla #4
Jaroslav Bednar #8
Kristian Huselius #7

Martin Erat #10
Dan Blackburn #12

Pavel Brendl #14 - Another in a long line of top draft picks that dominated junior and international competition but failed to make even a small impact in the NHL.

Krystofer Kolanos #15

Brent Johnson #16 - Most recognized as the guy who re-arranged Rick Dipietro's face.

Jeff Jillson #17
Nikita Alexeev #18
