2011-12 Upper Deck Series II Rip

Just sitting here watching the TSN Stanley Cup Playoffs Preview, stoked on the start of the post season tonight - hoping my Penguins take the Cup home.  Should be a hard fought first round for my boys but hopefully they'll make it out on top.

An example of the pleasing photography Upper Deck has been including on their cards for the past several years;  really capturing a moment.    Seems like using photography of a players entrance onto the ice has been an overly popular choice this year - from Upper Deck, Pinnacle and the Score insert set centered around the aforementioned.

O-Pee-Chee Marquee Rookie

One of several update sets included in 2011-12 Upper Deck Series II packs; O-Pee-Chee Marquee Rookies.  Johansen was drafted in the 1st round, 4th overall by the Jackets 2010 NHL Entry Draft.  This past season he lit the lamp a total of 9 times and accumulated 21 points in 67 games ranking him at number 15 on the rookie scoring list.

Stu Bickel was my Young Guns hit.  Bickel suited up for the Rangers in 51 games this season recording 9 assists no goals.

Upper Deck Hockey Heroes 1960s

Another insert set that Upper Deck has carried on from Series I and will continue to do so in future sets, Upper Deck Heroes decades.  Series II features players from the 1960s era; the card above is Alex Delvecchio - what is there to say about Delvecchio that hasn't already been stated.
