2010-11 Panini All Goalies

I've seen the 2010-11 Panini All Goalies box several times around the block within the past year; I've always liked the look of them and while at Wal-Mart today, after much inner debate, I figured I'd pick up a box/set.  I've been sending up TTMs again recently and figured even if I don't pull anything hit worthy, they would still make great cards to possibly have signed.

Each box contains the entire 100 card set, 5 "Up Close" parallels and 1 memorabilia card.

Alright so let's get down to the nitty-gritty; the card that most people in the hobby buy the box for to begin with; the memorabilia card.

2010-11 Panini All Goalies Stopper Sweaters - Corey Schneider #14

Any Canuck fans out there?  More precisely, any Schneider fans out there?  I know there are.  My memorabilia card was this, "Stopper Sweaters" insert of Vancouver Canuck netminder Corey Schneider who has had a very nice season, giving Luongo a run for his money in containing the starting goalie position.  The game worn swatch is blue which gives the card a few points ahead of the dreadful plain white in the swatch department.

As I mentioned previously the box also contains 5 "Up Close" parallels - since it was my first go at opening a box of All Goalies and I've never seen a version of this parallel before, it took me a couple shuffles to distinguish which cards were the parallels.  Call me a little slow.

2010-11 Panini All Goalies
Gerry Cheevers #93 Jim Craig #94 Ed Belfour #95
The parallels feature a shadowed mask in the left background of the card; I'm impressed and love the close-ups of the Legends.  I picked up the base Gerry Cheevers card at a card show a few months ago because I thought it looked awesome and this parallel version looks even better.  I like the Jim Craig card as well and Belfour's mask is arguably one of the most iconic masks designs of the 90s - maybe even all-time.

2010-11 Panini All Goalies
Curtis Joseph # 96  Ron Hextall #92

It seems as if all my parallels were of Legend netminders, sweet.

It would take me a day to scan every single card so I'm just going to scan some of my favorites.

2010-11 Panini All Goalies
Rick Dipietro #52  Tom Barrasso #100  Grant Fuhr #98  Felix Potvin #97

2010-11 Panini All Goalies
Patrick Roy # 90  Roberto Luongo #85  Marc-Andre Fleury #69 Al Montoya #55

2010-11 Panini All Goalies
Chris Osgood #26  Richard Brodeur # 99  Tim Thomas #8  Jonas Hiller #1

2010-11 Panini All Goalies
Martin Brodeur # 50  Pekka Rinne 45  Carey Price # 44

I almost forgot about including this card but it's probably my second favorite from the set.

2010-11 Panini All Goalies
Tony Esposito #91

This Esposito card features an innovation between fibreglass and cage masks.  You can see the small piece of cage that Tony Esposito had attached over the eye holes in his fibreglas mask, it looks so strange and I don't think I've seen it previous to this card.

  4. Yes, I highly recommend this product for ttm's and IP autographs since me and some other autographs bloggers are collecting and the signature gives tome color and looks good on the white background. You got a hit with the up close parallels being some of the famous retired player. The Corey Schneider isn't bad either considering I got Devan Dubnyk.

  5. I got 4 of the same Up Close and personal, but instead of Joseph, I got Tony Esposito. I got a Brian Elliott jersey card but it is a white swatch.
