2011-12 Upper Deck Hockey Artifacts

The second trading card product of the 2011-12 hockey season was released today, Upper Deck Hockey Artifacts.  Fleury is the cover-boy for the product this year, a nice little change from Crosby, Toews or Hall.  Each pack includes 4 cards and advises me to watch out for 'tons of great hits!'

Lightning Can Strike Twice: The Fairfield NHL Memorabilia Card Mystery Break

After pulling a hit from a discounted repack a few days ago I went out and picked up another hoping for the same kind of mojo.  Again instead of the one pack printed on the box I got two (not complaining) packs, 2006-07 Upper Deck Beehive and 2007-08 Upper Deck Artifacts; the memorabilia card is inserted in the plain white envelope.

I don't want to spoil anything but like the title says, lightning can strike twice with these repacks.  Take a look underneath the cut.

2009-2010 Upper Deck Artifacts

Really like the look of the base set for these 2009-10 Artifacts cards!  Here is a 3 pack break and how it went down.

92 - Dion Phaneuf. I think this was my favorite pull from the packs.

I bought a retail box of 09/10 Upper Deck Hockey Artifacts after picking up a couple of packs from the latest series earlier today.  It was 55% off!  I love buying discounted boxes.  Here is a run down on about two packs that I opened, I'll post the rest later ...

Ryan Getzlaf.  Don't really like this guy and I don't know why.

David Booth. Pre-concussion.

Patrick Kane. USAs current superstar; not a big fan of Kane either but he's definitely on the road to a bright future.

2010-11 Upper Deck Artifacts Hockey

Rainy day purchase from the hobby store.  Wanted to try my luck on these cards, a ton of nice looking inserts and I really like the look of the base cards.  I saw a few really great player combos that I wanted to see if I could get my hands on a something like that.

Roberto Luongo. I had a feeling I would get this card for soon reason, as it was the only base I remember seeing online from yesterday.

Jarome Iginla. Nice looking card in my opinion!

Dustin Penner.
